Being the Sabbath day, we started by catching the train to Koiwa to attend Church. Wonderful, friendly local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They watched the Sunday Morning Session of General Conference which was held in Salt Lake City last weekend. Of course they were watching it with Japanese language voiceover so they set up an English language one in a separate room for us.
We returned to our apartment for lunch, this is the view of Tokyo Skytree from near our apartment (below)
Then off to go for a walk through a large forested park near Harajuku to see the Meiji Jingu Shrine, an incredible contrast to the modern Tokyo surrounding it.
Then we explored nearby Harajuku to finish the day.
