We caught a shinkansen to Kyoto this morning, then an express train up to Kinosaki Onsen today.
We're staying at the below traditional ryokan (Japanese inn) where our room has tatami mats and we sleep on futons.
In addition to their being seven public onsens in this village, our ryokan has two private baths so I used the below one, which was amazing!
