This morning I caught the train down to next to Nagoya Port where Legoland Japan is plus the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park which was built by JR (Japan Rail). It is a wonderful celebration of the considerable railway history in Japan, including building the first train in the world to exceed 200km/h in 1964 with the original model "0" shinkansen.
Then I met up with Ash back in Nagoya who had been joined for lunch by the Sister missionaries, and we shared a Melon on Melon beverage. Then Ash and I went to visit Nagoya Castle
We then travelled to Yaba-cho, a suburb of Nagoya, where Ashlea visited a rabbit cafe while I found this beautiful shrine in between the modern buildings, built on the site where Kobayashi Castle once stood.
I also ate some delicious tempura while waiting for Ash.
Dinner tonight was yakitori which we watched the chef cook, apparently a Nagoya tradition since 1925 and really tasty and delicious!
